Relax, Revitalize, and Recover with Radiance. Explore the benefits of Sports, Deep Tissue, and Myofascial Release Therapies.

Hi there!
My name is Mike Campbell and I am a licensed Massage Therapist Proding body work in the Salt Lake/Sugar House area.
I have been in business for over a year now and have learned quite a lot in that timespan about working with and listening to the interesting mechanisisms of the human body.
I graduated from Myotherapy Massage College of Utah in April of 2023.
I initially sought this feild to help people like my friends and family. I would say my journey so far has been an overall success as I have been able to support and be supported by the wonderful members of my community.
My mission is simple; To provide quick, but long lasting relief to a wide variety of issues.
I primarily work with sprains, strains, tears, joint and muscle pain, tension, pre/post surgical work, posture, nerve entrapment disorders (sciatica, carpal tunnel, thoracic outlet...), issue while sleeping, ect, ect..
I find that a lot of these conditions are comorbid, and that often, a holistic or segmental approach to the body is not only warrented, but effective.
I've worked hard to build a business that provides honest and effective work and think that if you are reading this, it may be in your best interest to experience the wide range of benefits provided by massage therapy.

At Radiance Massage Therapy, my mission as a licensed massage therapist is to provide exceptional massage therapy services, including Deep Tissue and Myofascial Release techniques, that promote relaxation and well-being. I am dedicated to helping my clients manage stress, anxiety, and physical discomfort through personalized treatments, such as Sports Massage.
Sports massage is a specialized form of therapy aimed at enhancing athletic performance, preventing injury, and supporting recovery through techniques such as joint mobilization, stretching, and corrective movement. Joint mobilization involves gentle, controlled movements to improve joint range of motion, reduce stiffness. Stretching techniques are integrated to lengthen and relax tight muscles, improve flexibility, and reduce post-exercise soreness. Corrective movement strategies focus on addressing movement inefficiencies or imbalances through specific exercises and manual manipulation, helping athletes achieve proper biomechanics and reduce the risk of overuse injuries. Indications for sports massage with these techniques include muscle strains, ligament sprains, soreness, and stiffness from intense training or competition, as well as post-injury rehabilitation and prevention of future injuries.
Structural manipulation is a comprehensive bodywork therapy that focuses on realigning the body's musculoskeletal structure to improve posture, movement, and overall physical performance. The primary goal of structural manipulation is to bring the body into a balanced and efficient alignment, reducing strain and tension that can lead to pain and dysfunction. Indications for structural manipulation include chronic pain conditions such as back, neck, and joint pain; postural issues like scoliosis or exaggerated curves; sports injuries; recovery from trauma or surgery; and general stiffness or misalignment caused by poor ergonomics or repetitive movements. Additionally, this therapy promotes relaxation of tense or strained muscles, alleviates stress on joints, and improves the function of the nervous system, which can result in better sleep and overall well-being. Many clients also experience increased body awareness and a greater sense of ease in daily activities, making it a valuable approach for long-term health and vitality.
Myofascial therapy is a specialized form of manual treatment aimed at relieving pain and restoring function by addressing restrictions within the myofascial tissue, which is the connective tissue surrounding muscles, bones, and organs. This technique involves applying gentle, sustained pressure to specific areas of fascia to release tightness, improve flexibility, and normalize movement patterns. Indications for myofascial therapy include chronic musculoskeletal pain, fibromyalgia, tension headaches, postural issues, sports injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, and post-surgical scar tissue. It is especially beneficial for individuals with persistent or recurring pain that does not respond to traditional treatments. By addressing underlying fascial restrictions, this treatment can lead to long-term improvements in mobility, reduce discomfort, and contribute to a more pain-free, functional body.
Swedish massage is a popular and widely practiced form of therapeutic massage that uses long, flowing strokes, kneading, friction, tapping, and gentle stretches to promote relaxation and improve blood circulation. It is suitable for a broad range of individuals seeking relief from muscle tension, stress, and fatigue. Its primary indications include general muscle soreness, stress reduction, anxiety, and tension headaches, as well as improving flexibility and circulation. Swedish massage is also beneficial for individuals recovering from injuries, those experiencing chronic pain, or anyone looking to enhance overall well-being. Additionally, it can enhance flexibility, promote better sleep, and improve mood by stimulating the release of endorphins. The gentle, soothing nature of Swedish massage makes it accessible and effective for promoting relaxation, reducing mental and physical stress, and supporting overall health, making it a valuable addition to wellness routines and medical treatments alike.
Lymphatic drainage is a specialized therapeutic massage technique designed to stimulate the lymphatic system, a crucial part of the immune system responsible for removing toxins, waste, and excess fluids from the body. This gentle, rhythmic massage aims to enhance the flow of lymph, promoting detoxification and reducing swelling or edema caused by fluid retention or lymphatic system blockages. Indications for lymphatic drainage therapy include post-surgical or post-radiation therapy; chronic fatigue; immune system deficiencies; cellulite; and after surgical procedures like liposuction or cosmetic surgeries to reduce swelling and support healing. Additionally, it supports better circulation, and reduces inflammation. This therapy may also contribute to overall relaxation and stress reduction. Regular lymphatic drainage can improve the body's natural detoxification processes, promote better nutrient absorption, and assist in maintaining a balanced immune response, contributing to improved health and well-being.

The best conditions for receiving a massage are when you are freshly showered and well hydrated.
it is best not to apply any cosmetics, lotion, or jewelry as I will most likely be using a massage lotion or cream of some kind.
Baring the case that you don't have contraindications such as active infections, fever, sunburns, or a deleterious amount of bug bites,.
No, I do not provide same day appointments.
I provide a professional service and part of that comes with maintaining professional boundaries.
I am not a major corporation, I am just 1 person who has their own life including the challenges of running a small business.
Furthermore, it is in your best interest to plan ahead of time when booking an appointment because that is when I will be most prepared and effective.
If you are having a medical emergency, you should seek medical attention in the form of urgent care or more severe cases a hospital and NOT a massage therapist.
Again, I'm most effective when session are planned in advance.
At this time I do NOT provide outcall services.
I often employ the use of tools and techniques that only my specially tailored office can provide. My office is where as a therapist will be most effective and you as a client are able to detach from the daily surroundings of why you might be seeking out my services in the first place.
I do not work outside of my Work hours. This is a professional boundary I maintain in order to remain consistent and effective while also managing the overhead labor of managing a small business. It takes time, maintenance, and preparation to do what I do. This is in your best interest as time, maintenance, and preparation for your daily life from the effects of massage therapy are encompassed by the service that I provide.
The frequency of your massage sessions will depend on your individual needs and goals. Some people may benefit from weekly sessions, while others may only need one every few months. I can help you determine the best schedule for you. Overall the most important factor in helping a client achieve their goals is consistent and thoughtful bodywork.
I provide a strictly therapeutic relationship with my clients. There are many legal, moral, and ethical reasons to this.
Sexual solicitation is strictly prohibited and can result in your session being terminated early while being asked to pay the full price of the services.
Erections are a common side efffect of therapeutic bodywork due to a number of factors including decreases in blood pressure and manual manipulation of the cardiovascular system. This is not something to be ashamed of, as it is a normal response of a working cardiovascular/reproductive system. The best thing is to not draw attention to it. If it needs to be moved out of the way during a session, I will ask you to do so.
I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have about Deep Tissue techniques, the benefits of working with a licensed massage therapist, or the different types of massage therapy, including Myofascial Release and Sports Massage.
